Harry Hill was publican at the Railway Station Hotel (Devenish) from the mid 1950's; previous landlords were Mr & Mrs Collins.  The pub had a ladies' and mens' darts team.  Harry retired in 1972 and by the late 1970's the property had been converted into flats.  The pub included an off licence counter just inside the entrance and to the left was the snug and to the right the main bar. In January 1957 a new sign was commissioned to commemorate the centenary of the opening of the railway line to Weymouth and of the hotel.
